This week’s Wine Wednesday theme is Cabernet Sauvignon. We invite clients and their guests to stop by the WWS tasting room, share, and compare a bottle of their favorite Cab from any wine region around the world.

Did you know Cabernet Sauvignon originated in France’s Bordeaux region in the 17th century, as a natural cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc? Today, it’s the most widely planted red grape globally, flourishing not only in Bordeaux and California’s Napa Valley, but also in Australia, Chile, South Africa—and right here in Oregon and Washington.

It’s always fascinating to see how this bold red evolves from region to region and bottle to bottle. We hope to see you this Wednesday—cheers!
